The Plain Brown Dog blog was featured in an article in the Daytona Beach News Journal today. The article detailed the happy ending to Misty's story. Misty (above), now called Mutzy by her forever family, is the dog this blog was founded on. A plain brown dog who'd been looking for a home for nearly a year. With the help of this blog, a foster family, and the power of the internet, she was united with a loving family in less than 2 weeks.
If Misty can find a home, so can Oreo (below). So please, pass this blog along to everyone you know. You never know who the next forever friend might be for a plain dog like Oreo.
Come January it will be a full year that I have been going to the shelter to walk Oreo. My Christmas wish is that she will get a forever home before then, with a human who loves her like I do (which is dearly). She has all the qualities that make a dog a good companion. She is extremely intelligent, funny as they come and as loyal as you will ever find. She loves to do anything her person wants to do, sitting close, chasing ball, going on long walks, it doesn't matter to Oreo, because she just loves being with her person. And a good quality dog food will suit her just fine (I brought her organic sirloin and rice one day and she wasn't the least bit impressed). By now you are probably thinking "is there really a dog like this sitting in a kennel at the corner of LPGA and
ReplyDeleteI-95?" My answer "Yes there is, and she's waiting for you to come meet her."
